What in the World?

I was clicking through my favorite store site, Bergdorfs, and came upon this Akris outfit. But it wasn't the unusal jacket/skirt/pants combo that stopped me.  It was the crazy shoes.


Don't these look terribly akward and uncomfortable with their forced downward slope?



I just can't fathom them.  Why?????

    yikes, usually i like stupid shoes, but there's no way I would fall on my face every five steps

    Oh that's just ridiculous! You know that feeling you get when you're almost asleep and feel like you're falling? I think those shoes would feel like that with every step.

    Oh my, I was looking at that coat also but did not see the silly shoes. They remind me of medieval footwear, but I don't think anyone would have worn them then either.
