Week In Review

Since I've been slack in the outfit recapping department lately, I thought I would put a few of the latest ones in one big post.

The other day I wore a really comfortable green wrap dress from Target. Mine was a bit lighter green than this one but it conveys the idea. I wore a white camisole under mine just to be safe.

I wore my green jade bracelet and for shoes I wore my Sinamon sandals from Nicole Brundage.

My favorite part of these shoes are the pinked edges to the straps.

They're also very interesting due to how the straps wrap around. They are attached to the heel, go over the instep and twice around the ankle.

Yesterday I was very casual in my denim pencil skirt, a lavender tee from the Gap and my Jessica Simpson silk madras wedges.

Yes, I know. Jessica Simpson shoes. But, hey, I like the colors and think they are cute. I've come to grips with the shame.

On Wednesday I wore one of my favorite outfits. A simple 3/4 sleeve white knit top with the Mizrahi huge peony print skirt. I just love love love the giant floral print on this. So big and bright and pink.

For jewelry I wore this dainty littke necklace made of crystals and pink topaz briolettes.

For shoes I wore these little fabric mules from Kate Spade. These are back when I thought Kate Spade was doing some really fresh, unique and pretty designs. I have this same shoe in two other fabrics - a tan & black zebra and a muted mulit-stripe. But this is my favorite of the three.

And these shoes are a testament to how I treat my nice shoes with care. They are a very light color fabric shoe. You'd think they'd get dirty very very easily. And they could. But I've had these shoes for at least 9 years. And while they may be due for some new heel taps, they are almost pristine.

Kate Spade - make more pretty things like these again!

I also like how they fit right on the front of your foot. They're almost retro slipper-y in shape and, I think, ultra-girly. Another version of flower feet.

Ensemble du Jour

The Outfit
More red and more shoes I haven't worn in a while.
I'm wearing one of my silky patterned skirts from Target with w black v-neck from Ann Taylor.

The skirt has a good amount of taupe/camel in the pattern so I wore my acrylic and pearl bracelet from Etsy with a really big and long bubblegum necklace.

The Focal Point
I haven't worn these slingbacks in a long while. They're from Jimmy Choo and I bought them ages and ages ago. They have one of my favorite shapes.

One of my favorite parts are the separate thin red straps coming off the front. Plus the flower reminds me of poppies. And is this a great color combo?

I remember getting these and then seeing a total knock-off done by Colin Stuart (another notorious knock-off artist). That just drives me crazy! Especially when it is poorly done. I still wonder how they can get away with it.

Ensemble du Jour

I'm in a much better mood today, thank you. I went home, had a pedicure last night (chipped polish is such a downer) and ate some yummy chicken pot-pie and salad for dinner. It's a still cold but sunny day so I awoke much improved in mood.

The Outfit
Did I wear black all week or did it just seem that way? I wanted to finally wear some color. But it's still cold out so, yes, I'm actually wearing leggings. I know, I know but I'm not wearing them as pants (a la Lohan) and that's okay, right? Brown v-neck sweater, denim skirt, brown leggings with bright teal/aqua accents. I'm wearing a vintage bubblegum necklace, a fringe-y wrap and then my funky argyle shoes.

I actually saw these shoes through Polyvore when I was looking up argyle stuff the other day and the color was so bright and fun I thought I would get them. They are a brand I have never heard of, Not Rated, and they are pretty inexpensive. These are not high-end heels by any stretch but for a just-for-fun buy I didn't want to pay a lot. I actually got these through Endless and they were only $35 once they applied the $5 off, but they are also available on Zappos too, albeit for $46. But you can try and do the price matching policy Zappos has.

They're pretty cute, right?

I love the pattern and I really love the lacing on the front. It's one of my favorite details ad so cute on a round-toe pump. And I love love love the color. Such a cheery blue to help keep me in a good mood!
