Inspired by Nature

In honor of the new addition to the family, Mr. Jake the Turkey, I thought we needed another Inspired by Nature segment. Isn't he just the most gorgeous thing ever? His plumage is unbelievable. Dusky blacks, soft browns, bright reds and blues and striking white accents. Gorgeous!

These whipstitched Jimmy Choo sandals are a total match for the colors and accents.

I love the chunky black straps of these Gucci Iman platform sandals with the banding and gold accents.

The black and white of these Sergio Rossi sandals remind me of the white feather stripes in Jake's tail and wings.

And these Sigerson Morrison huarache boots on bare legs would give the same graphic stripe-y effect as his plumage and be just as attention-grabbing and striking.

But my favorites are the Louboutin 123 double platform sandals. Not only are they just as graphic but you get that same pop of red! Perfect.

Colors of Nature - Copper, Red, Black

In honor of the fact that I finally updated The Daily Coop, I thought a "Colors of Nature" post would be in order. And who better to showcase a hot color combination than a saucy rooster, like my Napoleon!

Since ombre is still hot (and will be going into Spring - hmmm... foreshadowing???), these Stuart Weitzman patent pumps are great representatives of glossy rooster feathers.

But I prefer these Jimmy Choo's. I love the peep-toe d'Orsay and the mix of blood burgundy patent and red and black textured leather on the toe really capture the depth and beauty of the colors.

Just as saucy as my boy but much nicer to be around!

Colors of Nature - Pellow? Yurple?

Here in North Carolina it is just moving through Fall and in to Winter. Summer was not so long ago but Spring still seems far away. Up north winter snows may have started and in places, I'm sure they are already sick of the cold.

Honey, you have a ways to go. But keep your chin up! Even if the stores and merchandising is all about snowdrifts and winter holidays, a few designers must have the warmth of Spring on their minds too. And they're taking their inspiration from the color combinations that only Mother Nature could create:

Purple and yellow, in soft lavender and pale butter or regal purple and sunshine.

Le Silla likes these colors too. I love the combination of these two colors in their ombre wedges.

They look touchable and soft and pillowy. Perfect for drifting through flowers.

And they have a very unusual shape that is sophisticated but still playful. Get them and tuck them in your closet to hibernate for the winter.
