Major Markdowns!!!

I have this bad habit of buying stuff because it is lovely or because I'm trying to work outside my comfort zone or I'm just totally acquisitive. Because of this major flaw I am often left with a whole bunch of things I love but have never even worn.

Then there are those fabulous items that I've only worn a few times but I really just need to make room for more new fabulous things. And as I tend to baby my stuff, it's all in really really great, if not pristine, shape.

What does all this mean???

It means I have great things to sell. I'm going to start with selling the clothes of all sizes and some accessories directly through this site. I will be posting them here shortly. Payment can be done via PayPal which I will provide or a check but for the latter, check will need to clear before shipping. Prices will be before shipping.

A few of the vintage pieces will go on Market Publique and the shoes and some of the more housewares type things will be on eBay. Since my shoe size is pretty small I thought it needed a broader reach.

If you are interested in any of the pieces or have any questions, please email me at:
princesspoochie@shoedaydreams.com or ask me via Twitter @princesspoochie

Thanks!
Poochie

Ensemble du Jour

So I'm trying to mix it up more and take more outfit pictures. Sadly this won't be one of the best because my camera is bugging me.

I combined my Stella Neptune tee with a swapped jacket, added a few vintage rhinestone pins, a denim skirt and my silver Miu Miu double strap mary janes.

My bad pics...

I really need to take a shot of these myself.

I really need a new camera.

Week In Review

What's been going on this week? Well, I've had a ton of work so I've been running around. I'm also trying to keep up with my "chores" during the week so I don't have to spend all weekend staring at a huge pile of laundry while I watch 10 hours of The Tenth Kingdom.

And then I get sucked into Twitter and goof off on Flicker, so I've been slack about playing on Polyvore or updating with outfits and all.

On Monday I wore this outfit - light weight argyle sweater from Target and Gap denim pencil skirt.

Yes, I'm wearing argyle again! I want Fall to get here already. I'm pining away for cool weather and sleeping with the windows open.

I wanted to wear my new Report heels with their cute little v-notch so everything was around the grey of these.

Yesterday I remembered I had these cute micro-fishnets in pink so I decided to wear them with a black jersey top and my flippy black skirt from Old Navy.

I have some pink and black kitten heels but in the end I wore my grey Head over Heels bird pumps in all their super-soft grey suede lusciousness.

I'd just sit there and stare at them all day if I could.

Today's outfit is in honor of Miss WendyB and how she is on the forefront of the "bringing rolled-up jeans back" trend.

I just used my Gap jeans and, since they are long despite being Ankle length, they could stand to be rolled up. I pulled out a weird mix of clothes and accessories to wear with them.

First of all is this crazy vintage necklace of winged serpents. I've had this piece since early high school. No "now we know it's vintage!" jokes, I just had a birthday. Don't rub it in.

Maybe I really had Miss Wendy on my mind when I pulled this out of the back of my jewelry drawer.

I liked the shiny brassy gold color and was pairing it with a textured 3/4 sleeve jacket, so yes, let's layer on some very patterned shoes. Why not!

See.... rolled up!

Okay, who's next?

Clothing Swap

I know I mentioned this before but if you have never done a clothing swap, you so have to! Just get a group of ladies (work, family, friends, dorms, etc.) and tell them to go through their stuff - not just clothes. Pick and date, make some cupcakes (not needed but so yummy) and watch the fun free-for-all begin.

We just did ours in the office and it was great. Even though we're all different sizes and styles people found tons of stuff and had a wonderful time. In my opinion the best time to do this is right around the change of seasons. You're going to be going through your stuff anyways, right?

What's great is you know there are things in your closet you are just tired with or that you bought and forgot about or may not have liked after the first wearing. Sometimes you feel stuff is just too good to give away but you don't want it. This is perfect for all those things.

Everything goes a first-come-first-served basis. Looks like my friend, Miss M here, found a skirt and top of mine that she liked!

What girly fun isn't enhanced by Lavender-Chocolate cupcakes????

I wouldn't say I took a lot of things but I did get a nice camel window pane skirt, a blue button down with front ruching, a light teal brocade bracelet-length jacket, a sweater-shirt combo in bright blue, a pair of yoga-y pants for wearing around the house and some cute faux snakeskin slingbacks. Not bad, huh?

I think this is even better than thrifting. It's free and you know where the clothes came from. Plus its a fun bonding experience. All the guys in the office thought we were a little silly, but who cares? At the end, all the clothes that are unclaimed get taken off to Goodwill, so we can do a donation too.

Go. Swap.
