Raising Eyebrows?

Not sure if I'm getting predictable or if the people I'm around are becoming desinsitized to me but I wore some slightly "out there" outfits (comparatively, for NC) and no one batted an eye.

Is this a good thing or what? I'm not sure.

The outfit I wore with my glitter heels and TokyoMade Chapter ring what otherwise kind of basic:

Then on Friday I wore a stripey jacket, my derby and saddle shoes (wish I could have worn my Viktor & Rolf paperclip eyelashes too).

Today I went out for lunch (and vintage shopping... more on that later...) and wore a shiny silver skirt, sequin Chucks, my boater, a green top with my parasol and a vintage straw purse.

Okay, so maybe these aren't too out there but they were fun.

I've tried to stick to a palette but I just can't do it. I love too many colors! And glitter! And sequins! And vintage! I know there are some things I don't wear and pieces and colors I wear more than others but I'm just trying to enjoy what I buy. Hopefully it will last and hopefully I won't get bored by it. That's becoming more of a goal for me. I'm sort of all over the place but that's okay.... Right?

I love how Clockwork Orange the second outfit is! I would totally wear something like that.

Palette's don't work for everyone! Hell, we'll see how it works for me... it may very well not.

I love how wonderfully refreshing it is to walk down the street and see people with crazy, creative and colorful looks, each with their own sense of style and representing the individual inside them. Every day - no matter how "out there" they are - I'm inspired by people like you.

Sequins. Oh I love the sequin shoes! I hear you on the wearing slightly off-kilter outfits as I work in a conservative office and always wear something a little off and commentworthy. Also, I went to school in upstate New York, and that's a place where they think Banana Republic is "funky."

I think it is awesome that you have the self-confidence to just wear whatever you want. Your outfits are fabulous but I imagine that you raise a few eye brows from 'Joe Schmoe'.
I have definately fallen into the category of 'wear the same thing or something similiar' every day. I work outside alot so that is tank tops/t-shirts and jeans/shorts.
I think this summer, I will make it my goal to wear something adventurous atleast once every other day in honor of you.

Hmm, I wish I could wear outrageous outfits without getting a second glance. But even though I live in London, people look me up and down and pass comments no matter *what* I'm wearing. :(
