My Tabitha Simmons for JCrew mary janes finally arrived!
The fabrics are even more adorable in person and I love the graphic pop of the navy edging and sweet little button.
The construction feels pretty solid, although I'd like to compare them to one of the original silk pairs from Tabitha's line.
They started this collection at size 6 so they are a bit big on me but it probably helps because, as always with mid-shoe strap mary janes, the strap presses a bit on the top of my foot due to my high arch. But overall they've been comfortable to wear and walk in.
I love the two floral prints. They will be perfect to pair up to a solid dress or one with a bolder pattern. I'm wearing them today with a navy cardigan and pencil skirt so the piping really pops.
The mary janes are my favorite style from the collection and it's so fun that they pulled in their other collaboration - Liberty - for the fabrics. A sweet summer heel that makes me want to wear rose water perfume.

Tabitha Simmons for JCrew
Who is excited to see the new Tabitha Simmons for JCrew collection?!?!
She has a number of cute summer styles but I was most excited to see my favorite heeled mary jane design that she does (typically in silk and $1250). And in adorable summery floral patterns too.
JCrew is really hitting the florals with their collaborations this year. I love it.
They're a bit simpler than her typical patchwork, but these are so light and fun and sweet. Yes, run right out and get them!

Le Sigh - Tabitha Simmons Contrast Foulard Print Silk Mary Janes
I want to wear these Tabitha Simmons tie silk mary janes every single day this Fall.
I mean seriously, how perfect are they. Beautiful fabrics. Gorgeous shape. Menswear done ladylike. I'm totally in love.
Sadly for me they don't come in my size, thereby saving me from myself. But they are gorgeous though.

Imitation = Flattery?
I happened to go into DSW today as a part of my black patent espadrille shoe search and noticed these shoes.
No congeniality awards will be given here.
They are from the Miss America collection and called "Izzy". I find it interesting that a brand that requires the contestants meet their "character criteria" (which mainly seems to be, from what I can find, not being married or having a child), is not above stealing the designs of another brand.
Because when I saw the above, I immediately recognized the source: Tabitha Simmons "Betsy" Sandal from Spring/Summer 2010.
