Adorables - Sophia Webster Coralie Sandal

I have no idea why I like these, but I do.

Maybe it's the colors or because of Sophia Webster's whimsical design but I just think they are so cute for Summer.

I probably won't get them but I sweetness is so appealing.  I didn't really wear jelly sandals in the 80s, not sure if I will now, but how cute are they???

Candy Evolved

Last summer I was a big fan of the Furla Candy bags which came out in a whole array of bright and saturated colors and combinations.  This summer they've continued to evolve the line with glitter and fun embellishments included wicker, stitching and metal.

But Furla hasn't stopped there.  Now their line includes a range of shoes, some with the same "Candy" rubber.

I love the pale pink pumps with the delicate brown bows.  Cotton candy and caramel!!!

The heels retain the embossed stitching and attention to detail that make the bags so coveted as well.

The Candy pumps are $178, but make sure to check out the full collection!

Would you... - YSL Rubber Tribute Pump

I have a few pairs of the Melissa shoes, know for their bubblegum smell, fun designs and, of course, rubber materials.

But would you expect to see jelly rubber and YSL together?  Neither did I.

Modeled after their classic sandal heels, these are super high and on a platform, which combined with what their made of, makes me a bit scared!

Would you wear a pair of heels in rubber and such precarious ones too?

Eeeewwww!!!

Okay, why was even necessary to create this?

Am I totally high or is this not one of the most hideous things you ever seen?

Why is the "unique powdery fragrance" a big selling point?
And who is this Angie from Denver that not only has these in two colors but wants MORE????
I'm completely at a loss.
Yesh!

Sink or Swim

Vogue was all in a tizzy of excitement over these "fashionable galoshes". They are said to be "a new trend for smart-thinking dressers to protect their fashionable flats from the elements."

They also theink they are subtle.

From what I've read the founder had used traditional galoshes, for which he got ridiculed. Then he just wore his good shoes and they got ruined. So he invented "Swims" to cover his shoes.

I don't think these are such new news. Didn't they have something like this in the 50's? They may work for men's shoes but they don't look all that subtle or fashionable for me. And they're, um, almost $150.

Right.

I have a better solution. Buy $8 pair of Target plastic flats, wear when it rains, bring other shoes with you. Done.

You're going to have to carry around a wet pair of the Swims or a wet pair of flats, what's the difference?

Oh, yeah... it's about $142.
