I've been pining for a Charlotte Olympia Pandora clutch but I haven't found the perfect one yet.
Maybe the new "Love Shoes" version is the one for me???
Doesn't a girl dreaming about shoes deserve a clutch to match???

Art Deco A-Go-Go
Who is totally getting excited for the new The Great Gatsby movie? And who is totally banking on old Hollywood glamour, art deco and decadent flapper style being hot for Fall/Winter 2013?
Is it Charlotte Olympia? I think it is.
Oh, yes, the Charlotte Olympia Fall line is totally made for the Gatsby-loving lady. The heels are filled with deco design elements:
Lush curves, malachite patterns and opulent jewels, even a nod to the 20's ladies themselves...
But Charlotte has not forgotten to add in the whimsical touches. It's all show biz! I love the "film strip" sandals, the "Walk of Fame" star clutch and, of course, the lighted mirror clutch!
Her other accessories channel the Chrysler building, Clara Bow, and quite literally, Louise Brooks.
What a collection! Now we just need a fabulous supper club to whisk off to and a champagne fountain!

Jingle All The Way
Charlotte Olympia is a woman after my own heart. I love a good themed shoe.
And how adorable are these Christmas Pudding-tastic flats. I would wear the heck out of these and even pair them up with a red and white reindeer sweater.
But even better are these sexy mistletoe platform pumps. Simple, elegant but just a wee bit quirky. Too pretty to be tacky but almost wanting to be. I love them.

Her Christmas collection even includes a Christmas Pudding clutch, Jingle Bell ankle strap heels and glitter kitty flats. It's too much goodness!
Now I must talk myself out of a bow-adorned Pandora clutch!

Le Sigh - Charlotte Olympia Garden Trellis Heels Spring 2012
I haven't
had the opportunity to see this collection in person, but I don't think it matters. One way or another, I'm going to have to get me a pair of the trellis platforms from Charlotte Olympia's Spring 2011 collection.
I've seen several versions of them, including the lemony sandals with white...
The gold...
and, my personal favorite and hopefully soon acquisition... the palm print with white....

What will I wear with them??? I have no idea! But even if I have to just sit and stare at them or maybe wearing them with my nightgown, I don't care. I love them and need them!

Cat and Mouse with Charlotte Olympia
I'm a fan of a good "theme" shoe. From mouse flats and kitty print heels, to rainbows or spider webs, I don't mind my feet wearing a bit of whimsy.
Charlotte Olympia seems to be a girl after my own heart. How can I resist a pair of sweet velvet heels with a kitten face???

I love love love the ears!
Kitty heels and mouse flats... would they get along in my closet?
Charlotte Olympia Velvet Cat Heels - $795 at Bergdorf Goodman. There is also a flats version on CharlotteOlympia.com and a cool red wedge with an ankle strap at Bergdorfs too.

Clearly, I need this
I don't need a clutch. I rarely use them. I certainly don't need an expensive one.
But.
I really really love this Charlotte Olympia plexi clutch.

Luckily it is sold out so I can't even be tempted to get it, despite the cost.

On a Theme
I've always been more about the matching than the mixing. It just doesn't come naturally to me to mix patters even though I'm trying to learn. Luckily I've advanced far from my younger days of overly matched accessories. So when I see "themed" shoes I know better than to over do it.
To tell you how bad it was, in high school I had a hot pink shirt with black polka dots. I also had heart shaped earrings that were also hot pink with black polka dots. Umm hmm.... I probably would have worn these Kirkwood shoes with an equally rose-bedecked outfit (from Browns £475.00).
Of course I don't think I would have gone this far. Even I, who still loves a good theme-y shoe (aka my Ashley Dearborns) thinks the zebra mane is too much. (JC de Castelbajac $677.50)
I think the theme here is "No".
Disclosure - I kind of want those Charlotte Olympia fruit heels. Old habits die hard.

But that's not the worst of it. One of my most notorious (and shamefully recalled) outfits was where I wore a white button down shirt with fruit painted on it, over a hot pink tank top and bright bright yellow pants. This was accessorized with a bangle in the same colors and plastic fruit dangly earrings. It was the 80s but dear lord! No wonder I didn't date much. If these Charlotte Olympia heels were around (and not $1696.20!!!) I would probably have worn them at the time too. Seriously, I had a problem.
