Macaron Dreams

I'm glad pastels are still in for Fall.

I'm dying to get this Creme De Couture eye shadow palette.  I know I'm too make-up lazy but the colors are just as dreamy as a pile of macarons are to indulge in.

Butterflies Aren't Free

I need/want some new dresses.

Not that this would look as good on me and not that I have anywhere to really wear it, but I am totally smitten with this gorgeous Lanvin butterfly dress.   I love taupe and black together.

I'll just ignore the fact that it's $5820.

Le Sigh - Rupert Sanderson Resort 2014

Wouldn't these be dreamy for Fall?

I love embroidery on shoes.

I know they are Resort but would wear them in an early crisp Autumn.

Le Sigh - Givenchy Wingtip Boots

I have a new obsession...

I am seriously in covet with these Givenchy over-the-knee lace-up wingtip boots from the Fall/Winter 2012 Menswear collection.

I know I don't need any more lace-up boots but damn are they stunning.   And brown.  So totally different and necessary.

The full look...

Maybe I'll just send a small inquiry out to the world and see what I get back.

Le Sigh - Nicholas Kirkwood Brocade pump

I'm a sucker for a pretty fabric, especially on a pair of stunning shaped heels and these Nicholas Kirkwood platforms are just amazing.

The delicate fabric, in soft green, cream and gold, is contrasted by the strong heel and graphic platform both in soft black.

The combination of the fabric and platform bring to mind the geta or okobo worn by the geisha or geisha-in-training or the Venetian chopines.   It makes me wonder, the height of the chopines, for example, became "a symbolic reference to the cultural and social standing of the wearer; the higher the chopine, the higher the status of the wearer."

Do you think this relates to the status of these shoes culturally now as well?

Le Sigh - Christian Louboutin Unbout Illusion Pump in Neon Yellow

I hate when there is a "one that got away"...

I'm very sad I didn't get a pair of these Christian Louboutin Un Bout (or Unbout) Pump, especially in the neon yellow.

*sad face*

Le Sigh - Manolo Blahnik Fall/Winter 2012 Collection

Manolo Blahnik is killing me with his Fall/Winter 2012 collection.  Gorgeous fabrics.  Clever embellishments.  Perfect heel shapes.  Basically my style - classic shapes with unique elements.

From baroque fabric and ribbons to french knots to jeweled buckles, they're lush and lovely.  I see he's still using his BB heel but also candlestick shapes as well as well-balanced weightier options. And the colors are great as always.

Here are my favorites but you can see the full collection here.

Not Even Me

Even I can't justify a $400 plastic skirt... right?

RIGHT???

Sigh.

Le Sigh - Charlotte Olympia Garden Trellis Heels Spring 2012

I haven't had the opportunity to see this collection in person, but I don't think it matters.  One way or another, I'm going to have to get me a pair of the trellis platforms from Charlotte Olympia's Spring 2011 collection.

I've seen several versions of them, including the lemony sandals with white...

The gold...

and, my personal favorite and hopefully soon acquisition... the palm print with white....

What will I wear with them??? I have no idea!  But even if I have to just sit and stare at them or maybe wearing them with my nightgown, I don't care.  I love them and need them!

Le Sigh - Alexander Wang Anais Metallic High Heel Pump

I have a new love... unrequited as of yet, sadly... the Alexander Wang Anais Metallic High Heel Pump.

I need these shoes in my life.

They're the perfect mix of magpie-shiny and preppy-tasseled-cool.  And, damn if I don't love a silver shoe.

As Ariel says, I don't know when, I don't know how but I'm going to get my hands on these heels.

Le Sigh - Anthropologie Whipstitched Riding Boots

I don't need new boots, I really don't, but I saw these and just said "I Likey!" It's  my jumping and dressage past that is calling out to me.... Boooootttttssss......

Le Sigh - Vivienne Westwood Skyscraper Seditionary

I have a new, probably unrequited, love - the Vivienne Westwood Skyscraper Seditionary boots.

I don't need them. I'm no steampunk princess. But look at all their buckle-ly stiletto-y glory.

Look at that heel... damn!

So yes, I'm in lurv.  Ah, well. Maybe someday!

Le Sigh - Lanvin Colorblock Satin Pump

I don't often fall for Lanvin shoes, but I'm smitten with these pumps.  I love the cool black, white and grey tones plus the raw edges.  These would be so perfect with opaque matte black tights and a pencil skirt.

Sigh.

Le Sigh - Miu Miu Velvet Bow Victorian Pump

I'm smitten with this modern take on Victorian style by Miu Miu.

This calls for a slightly bustled skirt in charcoal grey or a dark plaid with a jaunty hat, as I aspire Irene Adler style.

Clearly, I need this

I don't need a clutch.  I rarely use them.  I certainly don't need an expensive one.

But.

I really really love this Charlotte Olympia plexi clutch.

Luckily it is sold out so I can't even be tempted to get it, despite the cost.

Fluttering

I have these lovely pair of blush pink sandals with ethereal butteflies.  And I love them.
But this new pair of wing-bedecked Sophia Grace peep-toes speak to me with their dark glamour.

Jeffrey Campbell Skate

lThere is no reason for me to like this but I'm kind of intrigued by the Jeffrey Campbell Skate booties.  I'm a Florida girl.  I have no fond ice skating recollections. So I'm not sure why, but I think they are cool (pun intended)!

Maybe I just want my Silver Skate moment

Hans and Gretel Brinker have a much nicer story to aspire to.  I was going to say I like famous Norwegian Sonja Henie but then I read some more of her history and backed away from that asap.  I mean, Yikes!  She was a pretty, talented and successful woman who seems to have had a much darker past - from drinking issues to Nazi ties - than I would have ever imagined. Guess those white skates weren't so pristine.

Le Sigh - Stella McCartney Spring Anemone Dress

I don't often sigh over a dres, but I so wish I had this Stella McCartney dress in my closet.

It's unique with an Old Master feel to the print.  A simple shift but so stunning. I guess I'll just has to visit it in my dreams.
