Giving my heart away

I have a soft spot for heels with hearts…

How could I not fall in love with these cheeky, whimsical "Cora" sandals from Louboutin for Spring 2015???

I hope the heels isn't too high.  I couldn't bear the heartbreak!

Broken Hearted

So I wore my cute ASOS heart sweater to work on Friday.

My friend said I reminder her of Cathy from the comic strip. And wrote a whole blog post about it.

Now I'm traumatized.   Thanks, friend.  : /

As Cathy would say, "Ack!"

Featured Shoes: Bass Loves Rachel Antonoff Wendybird and Aurora

Bass and Rachel Antonoff brought back memories of growing up in parochial school but made the cute, saucy and cool.  I'm so excited to have been able to get my hands on these awesome loafers.   My wardrobe of flat shoes is growing much faster than the number of heels.

They're so pretty....

The Wendybird heart penny loafers and the Aurora tassel loafer are still available on the Bass website, but I also saw them pop-up on ideeli the other day, so check the sales sites!

Don't Miss Melissa

After all of the controversy, it's good to know there is a reputable dealer for Melissa that you can go to and find authentic pieces. Epaulet not only is a premier source for Melissa's but they are exclusive U.S. retailer for the Spring 2010 line.

And the colors are gorgeous!

They are continuing the "Orb" version with a new Smoke color.

And are adding a new "Stamp" style in a sexy black and red.

Just remember - be careful who you buy from and buy at least a size down. Mine swim on me, so keep that in mind!

Color Study - Hearts

The other day I was wearing the new Luella's and recieved the Minna Parikka's and realized... I have quite a few heart themed shoes!

I like the whimsy but is this getting ridiculous???

You'll see these in other groupings but I thought I take a break from the more literal Color Studies to pull all my "hearts" out of hiding.

From left to right:

- Viktor & Rolf for H&M
- ShoeMissy Dolly Dagger
- Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragon for Melissa
- Minna Parikka Belle
- Hetty Rose Love
- Luella Margar

You can't help but LOVE these shoes, especially the details...

I know I can't resist them so I just won't even try!

Minna Parikka Sale!

I have had my eye on Minna Parikka's styles for a while now. The Finnish designer is totally adorable and creates equally adorable shoes and bags.

I don't know how I've held out so long. Her shoes are in classic and covetable colors - cherry red, powder blue, blush pink - and incorporate heart cutouts and tassles.

I'd love to get these Starlet heels in powder blue or the red. The black is amazing too.

But my favorite are the classic Belle style with the heart ties. It was really tempting to get the pink but in the end, it had to be red (although , I prefered the textured). And Minna has a sale going on now - 20 - 50% off! So go for it!

Cute!

Piksi on Flickr is a big fan of Minna Parikka and looks amazing in everything... totally inspiration worthy!

Minna also has the even more adorable (one more time!) Ginger clutch bags in the shape of scallop-edged hearts. I'm dying dying dying for one of these... in the pink, of course!

They don't have the pink and grey, sadly. I would be all over this if they had it. The black and powder peach is so cute too.

So if you have had your eye on pieces from her... now is the time to buy!

Bolt from the Blue

Sometimes you just don't know where it comes from.

Who has ever had a craving that just pops into your mind, and in spite of your rational self saying you know you can't have it at right now (like wanting a favorite food IMMEDIATELY), you still can't help yourself.

I think it's how obsessions are born.

While brushing my teeth this morning, it suddenly occurred to me that I HAD TO HAVE sky blue patent shoes.

Maybe because I have always loved the sky blue Miu Miu double strap mary janes. I have them in silver. I so should have bought them in blue too! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

What was I thinking not to get these???

So I put the call out and started a shoe search of my own.

These are the right color but they are pretty pointy. I think I want a more rounded toe. The price is right though.

These are interesting and I like the shape (no idea on price) but a bit too electric blue for what I want.

I kind of like these even though they are not sky blue or patent. Must not get distracted!

So no luck! What the heck? Is baby blue out this season? Bummer.

What I did find, to tide me over are these - the Melissa and Vivienne Westwood collaboration Lady Dragon heels.

Adorable, right???

They're kind of hard to find and only start at a size 6, so I hope they fit okay.

These come in a few other colors although availability is limited. I got mine from Epaulet.

I actually need black flats much more than I need sky blue patent heels, but now I can't get them out of my head.
Obsession!!!!!!!!
