Style in Shadow

I love my vintage shoes and really need to take some more pictures of them. Of course the style and quality are amazing usually, but I am just really drawn to the shape most of all. Especially the 60s heel like these black crepe pumps.

There isn't much that can compare to that shape. Even Mnsr. Louboutin looks back at this era for sexy inspiration.

These came from ebay and happen to be very comfortable (meaning, not amazingly narrow) and were pretty inexpensive.

Do you have a favorite era or heel shape?

Well like you I really like the heels shape in the 60's. I've got several pairs of Herbert Levine that I unfortunately can't wear. It's my personal museum (don't know if you see the post I did about it) and a great source of inspiration.

I like quite a thick heel, but only because I can't walk in them otherwise! Great pics x

I always love 80s pumps. Back when "stiletto" was about 3" (4" at most), the toe wasn't so narrow or pointed it was uncomfy, but had that beautiful almond shape. They're always a bit more subtle & sexy, though they were so out their for their time..

I LOVE that shadow picture! and as a man, I'd say that my favourite heels to see on a woman is quite a retro heel, something that is higher than 3 but shorter than 6, and quite round but not a semi circle at the tip. Possibly even a classic mary jane heel...
