The weather was so gorgeous this weekend that I went a little Spring floral crazy.
I wore the Scene and Believed Dress that I bought from ModCloth last year and paired it with a bright pink cardigan, my vintage white wicker purse and gold sequin flats. We were doing a ton of errands from grocery shopping to the Farmers' Market, and everywhere I went, the dress got compliments.
It is pretty adorable, I have to admit. I also did the Sally Hansen "Not A Peep" decals in honor of Easter.
It's going to be high 60s and sunny all day today. I think I'll drive home with the car top down!

Adore-able! Sally Hansen Nail Effects for Spring '12
Sally Hansen... you keep doing it so right!
Not only was Valentine's Day heart-filled and sweet, but you've totally hit the mark for Spring. I mean, how much more perfect could these be for a "Pastel Ice Cream Sundae" spring theme??? I really need every single one of them... okay, maybe two of each!

Seriously! How cute are these? I got the ones below and am just missing Not A Peep! (a must have I will need to track down). I may need to get another Pink-a-Dot too.
I found mine at Ulta but usually CVS has them too. Keep an eye out and grab them when you can!

Change of Heart
I went into the drugstore just the other day... the day BEFORE Christmas... and the shelves were already lined with Valentine's Day candy!!! What the heck, people?!?! I haven't even started eating the candy from my Christmas stocking yet!
I love this pink/red/purple graphic design called "How Romantic".
The gradient, holographic pink hearts on white are adorable as well - "Speed Dating"
This swirly pattern is so pretty - "Are You Single"
And how cute are the Xs and Os done as hearts??? - "Cross My Heart"
My least favorite (and the one he didn't buy) is the word design "Love Always"
So not only should you go and grab these super sweet designs, you will be excited to know there are new core patterns coming for 2012 as well! Check them out...
I got my SHs at CVS but they are also available on/at ULTA.
But, while I think it is very wrong to have candy hearts out already, I was very excited and happy to get the surprise my Sweetie brough home to me - the Valentine's Day themed Sally Hansen Salon Effects!
He knows I love these and brought me 4 of the 5 designs (buy one, get one 50% off at CVS, by the way). These were the 4 I would have picked, so good job!

Falling for Fair Isle
The other day I mentioned I had been searching for the perfect Fair Isle items to add to my holiday wardrobe. Well, I've actually been thinking about this since October when I saw the Sally Hansen Nail Effects patterns for the 2011 Holiday collection.
I may have found my perfect items in this tunic and sweater coat from Macy's.
I love Fair Isle in red and white, so that was my first criteria. When paired with black (and on major sale), this sweater tunic will be great with leggings and boots.
And I'm going to wear it with the Plaid About You decals, plus some saucy red gloves.
And while I wasn't looking for a new cozy cardigan, this Tommy Hilfiger piece was so perfect in pattern and shape, that I couldn't resist. I mean, what is more holiday-ish than these snowflakes?
And yes, the matchy-matcherson in me is probably going to wear the Snow Bunny decals with it. Or maybe Peppermint Twist (the candy cane stripe design).

While I have a soft spot for these patterns and pieces on their own, even better is that they combine my two themes for the season. They fit into the "Clean College Prep" style while using the "Chromatic French" color scheme.
Perfect!

Seasonally Spectacular - Sally Hansen Salon Effects Holiday 2011
As much as I was excited for the Halloween Sally Hansen Salon Effects, I'm even MORE SO about the Holiday 2011 designs.
I went into Target over the weekend and, as I turned the corner, I found they had them out and I knew instantly that I would have to get them. There is no waiting on these limited edition designs. If you see them, get them for yourself!
I got four out of the five designs.
The reds - Plaid About You, Peppermint Twist and Snow Bunny - go with everything I'm wearing, from pleated skirts and velvet blazers to Fair Isle Sweaters and tights.
I loved the black and metallic silver Prep's Cool but held off on the Winter Fun-derland as I have so many glitter polishes I should use.
These colors and designs are perfect with my Fall-Winter 2011 Themes but would go great for anyone. Who isn't wearing a bit of red or some snuggly tights during the season?

Spooktacular Nails
I love Fall. And now that I'm having a total love affair with nails and manicures and polish, I can't wait to try all my darker colors and fun effects.
But October is going to be even more spooktacular because the polish folks really get into the season!
I've already shared that I nabbed the OPI Pair'em Scare'em polishes - glow-in-the-dark "Zom-Body-To-Love" with the black shatter.
But today when I was in CVS, I found that Sally Hansen's Salon Effects are out in awesomely cute Halloween designs. I. LOVE. Them.
They are (from left to right):
- Numbskull
- Hot Wired
- Ghoulie Girl
- Wish Nets
- Spun for You
I had to get Numbskull and Spun for You.
Squee!!! I can't wait to wear them!!!
I found mine at CVS, but you can order them at Ulta too.

Bubblegum Plastic: Sally Hansen Nail Pens
I am not a big make-up or nail polish aficionado. I do like to have a nice pedicure but I tend to be pretty boring with my color choices: reds, pinks, whites. And my manicure is usually non-existent. I have the weakest nails in the universe. They split when you look at them.
But lately my nails have been doing pretty well and are to the point where I can actually paint them without looking like I just blobbed some polish on the ends of my fingers accidentally.
I had a coupon for CVS the other day and decided to try out a few new colors. I saw these Sally Hansen nail polish pens and thought that maybe I wouldn't knock them over and spill polish every where as I may or may not have done in the past.. just saying.
I bought two colors - black and chrome silver. Right now I have on the black. I was hoping this would be a true black but it's more like a really really dark navy with a bit of sparkle. I put on a base coat and two coats of polish topped with a clear top coat. It's been lasting pretty well even with all the typing I do.
I only swiped on the chrome silver over a previous nail color because I was eager to see how chrome it came out. I would say that this does a good job of looking metallic. Not shimmery but a good shiny silver. For a polish it does a pretty good approximation of the Minx silver manicures. This could be a great solution if you need to touch up or just don't have easy access to a Minx location, like me.
All in all, good stuff. I recommend. Lots of colors, easy to use. I think I may have to go back and grab the gold chrome too.
