A Passel of Ponies

As if my desk wasn't girly and pink enough....

I now have a herd of My Little Ponies prancing around.

We cleaned up the basement over the weekend and I found a bunch of fun things from my office when I was at Disney.

Those are original too! Blue Bell and Misty (the blue/lavender with stars & the green/white with shamrocks) were mine from the 80s. And yes, I did braid their manes and tails.

Yeah, I just dated myself. I know.

I think we may be dated around the same time frame... ;)

And what a fine lot we are!

I had the Misty one too! I loved them so much. *sigh* kids toys today just aren't as much fun.

I have the same top two ones. The ones they make now a days have these HUGE heads just like todays youth. Course the ones we grew up with had big butts... just like us?

I don't think they had these when I was little. I would have loved them.

I remember when they re-released MLP in the early 2000's - they totally look anorexic. Our ponies - the 80's ponies - were cute and athletically, well, not chunky, but substantial. You know, like a pony.

"What do you think?" > Envy! :-P

I wanted to dress up like "my little pony" on Halloween this year! (then I was home with the flu, lucky girl)
I also loved the cartoons on TV ( this is our Italian version: http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=CJriYEvQs5Y )

I must still have mine somewhere..! (or, I like to think so!)

Oh, such a wave of nostalgia! I was coerced into giving my whole collection to the kids I once babysat--terrible idea! I'm still hanging onto the hope that they may one day be returned to me...!
